North American buyers in this sample are not one type of money. They range from private equity (RedBird, Oaktree, Knighthead, 777 Partners) to family offices and individuals (the Friedkin Group, Krause Group, Stephen Pagliuca, Joe Tacopina), sports-franchise owners extending into Europe (49ers Enterprises, Black Knight / Bill Foley, Kilmer / Larry Tanenbaum), and a pension-backed vehicle (ORG via Gamechanger 20 at Ipswich).
What they bought differs as much as who they are: full control of Premier League clubs at £2.5bn (Chelsea), majority stakes in second-division clubs for around €11m (Toulouse), and co-control minority positions (Atalanta). The screener lets you filter these by league, stake and price; every figure carries its evidence status, and calculated values show their formula.
North American club transactions themselves (MLS, NWSL and Liga MX) are tracked as a separate market because franchise-model values are not comparable to European club prices.
